As the graphic design intern at the Athletic & Wellness Center at SUNY New Paltz, My main task was to create social media posts and graphics displayed around the building. The primary social media posts I designed were facility announcements, event announcements & reminders, and recruitment posts for trainers and dance leaders. All of these graphics were required to be made through a program called GoGipper, a program for college athletics media templates that was still in the works. I noticed a lot of restrictions while using it that allowed for very little creative freedom. I met up with the CEO of the program to share my concerns and feedback. He was very receptive and even gave me some insider tips for how to get the most out of the program during my internship.
